D3 TDV6 Battery Question- Sorry i did search..

Hi All,

Quick question- my alternator died and i want to fit a new battery at the same time.
Everyone seams to be going for:

EA1000 Exide Premium Car Battery 017TE

900 CCA

The one fitted at the moment is an original LR YGD500130 which has:

950 CCA

Will the Exide be okay be slightly under powered on the CCAs?

Sorry for the question i did search but LR keep changing there part numbers for the batteries and i want to pick one up tommorow so just thought i would check.

Thank you!

Thank you guys!

It got confusing when:
YGD500130 got replaced by LR018609 then LR030213 then LR032260 then LR033179.

With the latest offering from LR being AGM, then when i go to Euro car parts they are listing 019 and 020 sized batteries the 019 would fit but the 020 must be too be being 393mm long.

So a quick check on here and the winner seams to be the 017 Exide Premier battery so thank you for confirming!!

Very Happy

That's a good price Smile

I have just fitted the battery and alternator with a new drive belt.
And it's all looking good so far.

Thank you for the help everyone!

Is there a market for faulty alternators to be reconditioned?

Loving having the truck back on the road- I followed the guide from here and that made it quick work.
This forum is so great Smile

I've got a faulty alternator sat here. I'm sure there's a market for it. Are you thinking of reconditioning them?
I think the diode pack is the problem, trying to get hold of them

Yeah I have been reading up on it.
Seams the actual regulator is quite cheap:
