Another Retro Fit Cruise Control Question |
|
Hi, I know you must be sick of seeing these posts about cruise control.
I have read through lots, and I mean lots of the posts on this site regarding retro fitting cruise control.
I have already bought both the audio switches and the cruise control switches.
Is anyone able to help me fit them please?
Any and all help appreciated.
I am near Rye, East Sussex.

You'll also need somebody who can enable cruise control in the car config files. Audio switches are plug and play. Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails
Make your own Narpy grill thread
I'm not scared, I'm outta here.

The actual fitting of the switches is a straight swap for the blank panels. Then as Narpy said. You will need to find someone who can activate the CC. (Radio controls work without activation). Or buy an IID BT tool and active them yourself. I bought the IID as it's invaluable for fault finding and a host of other things too. Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

Thank you, I have just asked to buy the airbag removal tool, so once that has arrived I am going to get the switches put in. Then will ask someone nicely if they would activate them for me for a fee lol. The Mondeo I bought recently has just eaten its alternator so I am having to buy that and the belt kit for it too. Plus possibly a battery and I have had to re-insure and tax my Vectra SRi so my other half has a reliable car to use for the next week while we wait for the parts to arrive. I know what I will be doing next Sunday with my mate lol.
