Thanks for the advice, Lost for Words and Robbie, things are a bit clearer now, blanking and mapping it is, think i'll get a performance map at the same time and get the better efficiency, the fact that one of the tuners has a 57 plate he has been running blanked for some time is quite reassuring
Thanks again 8)

Just thought I would post an up date.
After many phone calls an lots of conflicting information I have now solved the EGR issue. Firstly, just by disconnecting the EGRs the car came out of limp mode, in fact it ran much smoother than it did before I had this issue, however the MIL stayed on. I then had the EGR's blanked off and the EGRs deleted from the Cars software to turn off the MIL, and whilst I was there had a stage 1 performance map carried out.
As a result, the car is running much smoother through acceleration and up through the gears, I have more bhp and more torque and as a bonus my mpg is already looking better.
Good news and you're most welcome. Glad to help. Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC
