How to Operate the Parcel Shelf |
|
Dear all,
I have recently purchased a parcel shelf to go with my D3, as the car came without one. I bought it second hand, and it came without any extra bits and pieces only the shelf. It seems to slide into place without problems, except I do think there should be an extra latch on the right hand side to hold it in place.
My biggest issue is in actually rolling out the cover. There are two pins that are holding the cover retracted in, and I cannot find a way to push them in to open the cover
I am sure I am missing the obvious, because I couldn't find any information online. I just can't see how it works. Can someone offer some assistance on how to roll it out and back in please?
thank you,
Graziella

The cover should just pull towards the rear of the vehicle and latch in to the sides.
no buttons or latches to release, just pull rearwards.

pull the cover out just a bit before putting the whole thing in place.
There should be a small oval handle on the right side which operates a latch on the right side that keeps the cover in place.

There is another recent topic about the shelve with some images. Maybe that helps.
I think in your case the cover is a little bit too much retracted and the pins are stuck in the case. Just give it a good pull to free it.

Hi everyone,
in fact the roller was pushed all the way in and the pins got stuck inside the cover. I have managed to get them out now and everything is in place. thanks
