Dryer end cap
Started getting the "suspension fault - normal height only" message every time I started the D3.
Had the compressor cover off and it would seem I have the dreaded crack between the two connectors on the dryer lid. Is it possible to repair/replace the lid without taking the compressor/dryer off the car? Don't really want to disturb anything I don't need to but I'm a bit concerned all the silica beads will fall out.
Also, are the blue & orange connectors voss connectors? As in, unscrew and pull?
Many thanks

The beads should be held back by a aluminium disc and filter. So you should be able to remove the cap carefully. I have mine striped on the bench at the moment.

The blue and orange connectors are push fit, not Voss. Push the collar in and pull the pipe out at the same time. Some air pressure will be released but nothing to be alarmed by.

No just push the pipe and outer ring in till the ring is up against the cap hold the outer ring in and pull the hose out.

I carried a temporary repair with epoxy filler and it lasted quite a few months but eventually I changed the drier end plate which can be done quite easily without removing the drier completely.
