I'm just about to drive to Argyll for 6 days and I've noticed the coolant has dropped since its service a week ago. I'm going to go and buy some coolant now to top it up on the way. We're stopping by Lake Windermere tonight, are there any recommended indies or members who could have a look tomorrow between Windermere and Argyll?
Also, is there any specific coolant I need to top it with? It's pink at the moment...
TIA! I am not in danger - I am the danger - I am the one who knocks

Stick with the same colour coolent, run the engine upto temp and just observe it for a while, looking over the top and underneath, may just be a loose jubilee clip. So far Fiona has:
TRC front winch bumper / GG AT tyres
Warrior 9500s winch / Aux Fuel tank
Mantec sump guard / Kaymar rear bumper w/swing away
RI D2 light pair / de-cat exhaust
RI 10in flood/spot bar / LR puddle lights
Optima yellow top / Prospeed tree/rock sliders
Spilt charge system / Light guards

Plastic water housing in the 'V' splits open when hot. Cheap part easy fix. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Look in the 'V' between the cylinder heads, ia there coolant in the'V'? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Clean around oil filler cap with a cloth, remove cap and pull sharply upwards - replace cap whilst you are investigating to stop any crap getting in the filler neck.
Replacement as easy, again taking care to stop anything getting in filler neck

Had a good look under the cover but couldn't see any signs of leakage.
I'll just have to keep topping it up till we get back, then get it to my guy... I am not in danger - I am the danger - I am the one who knocks

If it starts to leak quite badly an old trick is to run with the header tank cap removed to avoid pressurising the system, obviously adjust your speed to suit!
