Has any one had a problem with idle

When slowing down through the gears my manual will nearly
Stall with your foot firmly down on the clutch when your slowing down to a stop and the revs will drop to the point the battery light will
Flash on then the revs will
Rise up to about 900rpm then drop again. Yet if you take it out of gear it will
Idle smoothly any idea any one ??

Hi BigD,
I did a quick search and found this. Don't know if it will solve your issue, but might get you started Thumbs Up

See if you have a fault code relating to the oil temp sender. had a similar issue to the one you've got bt mine was everytime I went to pull away the revs dipped.

Just curious.
What type of fuel do ypu use.
I had a similar problem on my TD5 disco2 and cured it by using a tankful of BP ultimate.
Never use supermarket fuel and i am also a member of the "add 2SO" each fill up.
Worth trying and may help.
cheers
