Fridge in second row
As my third daughter doesn't come with us much these days on holidays I was thinking about using the middle seat space more effectively
Thought was to have the middle seat folded down then be able to mount a fridge/freexer in that space between the other two kids. Gives them a bit of a table top to use as well as giving us instant access to the ice creams on the holiday journies..
Has anyone done this or thought about doing it and know what Waeco or similar fridges would fit in.
Not interested in Engel as too expensive whereas the decent Waeco will come in around the right budget.
Would really want one that has separate fridge and freezer sections ideally but depends what would fit I guess.
Also concerned about fan noise as wouldn't want a load of whirring in the cabin (my current halfrauds powered toolbox needs to be in the boot as the fan is rather noisy.)MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

If you want to take out the middle seat you can fit a plate in position with bolts and spacers using the seat boltholes ....you can then fit a slide plate for whatever fridge you decide upon onto the plate ...its a really solid fix ....mine is like this one ...pics courtesy of DiscoStu

These spacers lift the base off of the uneven floor and keep it level

I have a Waeco 50l fridge freezer permanently in the middle seat powered via Tmax split charge. It's held in securely with straps though the handles and seat frame which makes it very quick job to release it if we need the middle seat.New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

Just wondering...
Why do you all put the fridge in the centre? I put mine in place of the offside seat. Originally because our daughter prefers to sit in centre seat so that she has a clearer view, but also because it's easier to get to.Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

In my case it was because the front seat driver \ passenger can just reach in ...I think in Stu's case it was that plus he was using seats 6 & 7 which can then be accessed from either side 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

For me the reasons would be:
1. Access to rear for row three
2. easy access for kids to doors
3. Front passengers get access to fridge on move
4. Safety, kids safer behind the seats than in middle position in my opinionMY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)
