I had this fault on mine. Was told it was the silica balls needed drying. I replaced it with an amk . No probs since. If you have a new compressor why not fit it and then you will be able to service your old one for spare or sell it .

Are the silica balls in the Air Dryer or the compressor, if they are in the Air Dryer maybe I should also replace that. As I don't have a spare Air Dryer I would have to get one off Steve.
If my Dryer is stuffed then replacing the compressor might be a false economy or do I miss understand .Dale

That's the new type. Easier to fit than replacing like for like, as you can cut the pipes instead of having to wrestle them out

You might want to check to see if your air tank is leaking before fitting the new compressor.
To be fair, if you're still on your original compressor on an 05MY you've done well. I would replace the compressor and the air tank if you're considering keeping the car for any length of time.

The reason I thought there were no leaks was that once she goes to sleep the hight stays the same, even over 2 or the days it stays up. Because she was not sinking, I guessed that there were no leaks, if the Air Tank was leaking, I thought it would end up sitting on the bump stops after a few days.Dale
