Could anybody shed any light on either of these two D3's
BG57 EGE Buckingham blue XS 78k http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv...?logcode=p
Or
EK57 SWN Grey XS 73k
Can only get one link to work at the mo. Any info on either would be appreciated.
Reading through the forum the general consensus is this sort of mileage shouldn't be cause for concern but is there anything specific I should be on the lookout for?
Thanks

It should have had the 7 year service with the belts changed. It also falls in the dreaded oil pump casing issue. This needs changing as well. So if the belts have not been changed along with the oil pump casing you are looking at a 700-900 bill depending on where you take it. Lower arms will soon be ready as well. Make sure you have a good look at it with some warrenty available. They are very nice cars but can be expensive.

I would be looking at an older well cared for model or a newer 2009 car.
After seeing what can happen personally and seeing so many complaints about the 2007 on here I would plan roundabout that year.
IMO it's not worth the grief.

I've got a lovely one for sale too - 06, cheap tax, SE, still got LR warranty on it for a couple of weeks that can be renewed from the next 2 years, belts done ages ago by Flack from this forum so a proper job done!

Hi John
Out of interest, do you still have your car for sale, and if so, can you give me more information about it, please?

Today I bought a new D4 so obviously this means I've traded in my old D3 and was told it would go to auction which makes me a bit sad. It's a great car which I've owned for 7 years and I've spent a fortune on it to keep it tip top, very well looked after by me and a great car for its next owner. I don't even let the kids eat in it and if their shoes are muddy, they remove them! It's an SE in Cairns blue with almond leather interior, only done 141k miles with gearbox oil flush, egrs blanked etc. It literally needs nothing.
If you are in the market for such a car and promise to look after it, PM me and I'll put you in touch with the dealer.
