Happy New Year everyone, here's a weird one. My Disco 3 2007 Manual 133K on the clock with a recent major service and fuel filter change etc. It's reluctant to rev past 2000, the tacho needle waves about and the engine flat spots. It eventually picks up but feels lumpy. It only seems to show itself in the the higher gears 4th onwards. In 1st, 2nd, 3rd its not really obvious and if I give it the beans and change up (not letting the revs drop past the 2000 rpm mark) it doesn't seem to happen. All is smooth below 2000 rpm and there is no black smoke or rattles...
Could it be a hose? Egr's or even the ......Turbo?
Any advice gratefully received.

Have you done the basics and checked all the big black pipe work and hoses are all connected ok?
Just in case they didn't connect them up properly at the service?

I would suspect it is an EGR problem.

Not sure which fuel filter you have, but on mine the small pipes were crossed and it showed the symptoms you describe ?
