Some decent lenses with the 20% discount - best of the bunch that I would consider (Except I'm after the new 100-400) is the 70-300f4-5.6LIS - stunning lens sharp as a nut and the AF is extremely quick. Mark.

Ah, but that is not the lens we are talking about - there is a huge difference between the:
75-300 f4-5.6 III, 75-300F4-5.6 USM III, 75-300f4-5.6 IS, 70-300f4.5-5.6 DO IS USM
and the
70-300F4-5.6 L IS.
Interestingly, the DO lens (Which is an L class lens, but never listed as such and has a green ring, rather than the Red of an L) has never really taken off, - or at least it doesn't seem to be popular - possibly the post processing to make it shine has put people off.
Early reports are that the 100-400f4-5.6 L IS II is just as good as the 70-300 L IS it is brother too - and a lot better than the push-pull lens it replaces. Shame it is £2k - though it will be down to £1600 by the middle of next year. (with luck!) Mark.

Thats the one
I would personally not go for the "grey" import internet places - especially when Curry's price with the 20% discount is so close to them.
There are a couple of places that I know are "good" shops - Kerso was one, but he has seemingly stopped trading and there is another one down south that you can collect from - though I can't think of the name at the moment. I'm sure others are also perfectly fine. Mark.
