I Dont Believe i Done That*ALL FIXED*

Some Censored , Namely me, has put a gallon of Anti-Freeze into the washer bottle Thud

Getting it out should be easy enough but I didn't realise at the time until the washers were squirting with very low pressure.

Question:- Will it have done any damage to the plastic pipes or wipers?

All answers will be gratefully received and all abuse will be taken on the chin within reason.

Doubt any harm really to the pipes, are you planning on pumping out or pulling the pump out Brian?

Was hoping to syphon out if poss Greg, think the mixture is to thick to use the pump as it is coming out very slowly and headlamp washer not working, don't want to burn out motor.

As far as I'm aware it won't damage your bottle and pipes but I would drain it then fill it with plain water then flush through the jets using the button then fill. I have read though if its left on paint work it can cause discolouration so wash your car ASAP if you used it on your windscreen.

Hope this helps Thumbs Up

If you are going to start syphoning it by sucking into a tube to get it going, be very careful.
Antifreeze (ethylene glycol) is EXTREMELY poisonous Thumbs Up

Could have been worse, you could have put screenwash in the coolant bottle. Shocked Shocked

Hose pipe seems easiest but clean up drive thoroughly as it's poisonous to animals. There was a load of cats being poisoned in Aviemore with antifreeze.

Oh dear! Reminds me of the time that my wife poured a gallon of screen wash into the hydraulic tank on my Citroen XM! It actually got as far as Somerset from Manchester before it started doing weird things. That cost ££££'s !
