I, m about to have a new screen, and being a bit precious about my old lady (the d3) I thought I would remove the A post finishers myself, I assume the exterior ones just unclip, I have got replacement clips. I might remove the internal ones too, is the fixing under the square plastic with airbag written on it. Do the wipers just unbolt, and does the panel (plenum ?) under the wipers just unclip. How do I remove the rear view mirror ?.

The panel you're calling plenum is the scuttle panel and it comes out easily once the wipers and A pillar trims are removed. Rear view mirror is glued in place ( I think ), leave that to your screen fitter. Mods:

I would just leave it for the windscreen company.
I had about 8 windscreens in my Mini and they never caused any damage to the car
What is it you are worried about? Disco gone

hmm, think I will leave it to the fitters, I was concerned about them just ripping trim off at 100 mph to get the job done, abit ott on a 9 year old car I know but she is still my baby.
