IOS 8.1 and MY12 connectivity

Since putting IOS 8.1 onto my phone I can't get it to play music in my MY12 D4. I can browse, but I just can't make anything play, it is sat at paused. I have tried playing music from the phone with it disconnected and it is fine.

Anyone else had anything similar?

It started playing up on my BMW on the latest update, I cleared everything in the car regarding the phone and done the same with the phone, repaired the two and it has been fine.

Same issue here, when I connect it I can browse but it doesn't start playing. My work-around is hard resetting my iphone and then it works... Push the power and home button simultaneous for about 5-10sec and then it wil reboot...

So it went back to being paused after one or two trips.

Next I tried the hard reset of the phone, again worked for one or two trips.

I have now deleted the blue tooth connection and reconnected, it seems ok at the moment......

I have had a similar problem in my MY14 too.

My problem is a strange one though, on my iPhone 5 playing music via Bluetooth, it will play some track and albums fine, and others it will just stop playing and go into pause.

This is very frustrating as it even does so when playing a shuffled play list too.

I have not managed to fix the problem so far.

This week I managed, very luckily to win a prize draw with work, so I now have a nice shiny new iPhone 6 plus!

I will be trying this on music via Bluetooth to see if I have the same problem.

One more thing that is very annoying, is why does it display the album and track name on the big centre screen but not on the drivers display, it just displays Bluetooth audio?

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

I have a similar issue with MY 14. Bluetooth works fine with phone calls, but can't get the music to play from phone via BT.
I remember struggling to get it working when I first got the car, but definitely got it working eventually.
Car says 'Bluetooth audio needs activating in settings'...but which settings ? Can't find anything relevant on either phone or car to switch it on..
Now can't work out if something has changed with ios8.1.1 or have I missed a secret menu somewhere..?

Any help appreciated.

Matt
