Front Sensors working but not audiable *Quick Help Needed*

My car is currently at an independent garage and they are trying to get my front sensors working (they have never worked).

Looking at the diagnostic tool, it seems that they send a signal ( the distance decreases), however no sound is coming out.

Any thoughts as to why this is? They have definitely enabled on the software.

Help! Big Cry

Have you tried adjusting the volume?

When the sensors are active (i.e. put the car in reverse with the engine running) you can control the volume of the beeping by adjusting the volume control for the entertainment system.

If the volume is turned right down to zero you won't hear anything. Thumbs Up

Oh? Would that be independant to the rear audio? You can hear the reverse ones beeping.

I think they all adjust together, so if you can hear the rear ones the volume is probably not the issue. Wouldn't hurt to have a fiddle with it though just in case. Confused

Looks like you need someone more competent than me to solve your problem. Whistle

Hhhmm. I am told by the garage that because mine is an early Disco 4, I would need a software update to allow the front beepers to work.

They can see that they are definately working right, but unless I update the software, its not going to work. Does that sound right?
