Hi Robbie ,tried that and selected my music but as book says browse ,but it's not on my menu ,am I thick

Have you pressed the '+' key on the RHS of the My music softkey? If you press that, you should be able to select iPod. Once you've selected that and are on that screen, 'Browse' will allow you to select what you want to play from your iPod.
You can also make one of the softkeys on the Home screen take you directly to your iPod.D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT

Should work. Plug in, toggle the menu until you get the right input and press play. The joypads on the wheel should control everything just fine.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
