|
Long shot I know! But If anyone has a silicone case for a 600D laying around that they would part with for a few beer tokens it would be appreciated 2009 Discovery 3 HSE - Gone

What do you want that for Mark? I've not got one BTW, just curious. Mark.

Because I noticed with my 350D where I grip the camera it wears some of the paint? away over time and with the amount I used my camera/s I would like to protect my new 600D that I got for my Bday on the 10th. So in years to come when I want to sell it its the best possible condition! 2009 Discovery 3 HSE - Gone

Crickey, canon must be skimping on build quality. Had my nikon D700 since about 2009 and it looks as good as new still. I'm not exactly careful with it either.
Be careful with those silicon things though, if you get some sand or grit between it and the camera, it will very quickly gouge great chunks out of the body.

Not sure I have only ever had the 350D and the wear on that was visible after a year or using it. It had some slight wear when I was given it for a Bday but it slowly got worse. That's why I would like to protect my shinny new 600D because I don't want it to look scruffy when doing a shoot ETC. Wouldn't want customers to think I don't take care of the camera's/lenses and other bits I own, when actually I do! 2009 Discovery 3 HSE - Gone

On the other hand, if someone turns up at a shoot with a worn camera, I would think, crikey, he does a lot of work, he must be very good to work so much....
Tbh, most clients you'll ever meet couldn't give a hoot about what gear you use, or what state its in. As long as the results are good, that's all that matters.
