[For Sale] USA maps Tom Tom
As per title, see pics below. Tom Tom One V4
Bought for recent trip to California, all down coast from San Francisco to San Diego stopping en route (Yosemite, Monteray, Santa Barbara, Big Sur, Carmel, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Hollywood, Beverley Hills, San Juan, San Diego, etc.)
Never missed a beat, located most obscure, tiny places/roads no problem at all. Has all states loaded (not tried them, obviously). Had fixed speed/traffic camera warnings going off on journeys as well, didn't know it had that
Comes with aftermarket soft case and power lead. All works fine, battery life used for 60 mins on foot ok but hooked up to power all time in car.
Just looking to recoup some of my outlay as bought four weeks ago on eBay and will go back on there if no interest here. Much cheaper than hiring from car rental places.
£45 postage included

Have you thought of renting this out to members? I emaginge a few of us visit the states, and for say £15 incl postage, its a useful edition to a holiday bag. I'm off to Orlando shortly and it would tempt me.
Rent it out 4 times and you have more than covered your costs, and still have your tom tom.
I'm thinking of either a pay as you go sim out there (there are 3 couples in our party to keep in touch), or even buying a $30 phone from Walmart.
Phone + tom tom package?CGA

So when you get a phone you can buy this Tom Tom and have yourself a business
Just looking for straight sale, not faffing about on loans and that. Loads on eBay do that but buying this wasn't much more than a loan so if I recoup some/most my money I'll be happy

Data on the unit says v835.2420.
Others, much more expensive, said v903 (I think) was latest version.
Asked the seller and he said the unit I had was 2012/3 map data. All I'd say was it worked for me on every road/location over 1400 miles in California including an only partially completed highway we were on and a 'new' hotel complex we stayed at

Glynne, not sure if your offer is legally binding but if I was you I'd check your maths before I rip your arm off

You've lost me not that that's hard
£40 for your Tom Tom ( which you want )
£3995 for my car ( which is what I want )
P/X your Tom Tom with my car allowing you £995 for your Tom Tom leaving an outstanding balance of £3000 for my car which you pay
If this is correct, then come and pull my arm off
In fact, keep the Tom Tom as part of the deal

I was referencing from many years ago at college the statute of contract law in that 'latest' is the binding state, or such like;
You asked £3995
I offer £2000
You counteroffer £3000
I don't change anything
You offer me '£995' for the TomTom in part-ex
My maths makes that £3000 less £995 = £2005
I'll go for that
This isn't helping either of us sell but is bumping them up I guess

Funny how people see things differently depending what side of the fence they sit
