MY16 questions
Hi all,
Now I'm very much of the RTFM camp. Which i have cover to cover, but cant find answers to these questions.
On my MY12 if i pressed the lights button on key fob twice it turned on both front and reverse lights. on MY16 it doesnt turn on reverse lights?
Other than that, The MY16 seems so much better built, yes the stop start is a pain but the reverse camera is better, the ride seems better, the sat nav actually works and postcode input is nearly as quick as a tom tom.
Ive gone from a MY12 commercial with the comm luxeury pack to a MY16 with same pack. it also now has Xenon lights and electric seats... Its bliss.....

Also, stop start only works with a heavy right foot. If you brake just enough to keep stationary it won't kick in. I've learned to do this if I don't want it shutting off as I can see the traffic moving.

I'm getting used to the stop/start. Used to it on manual LRs but this is the first time on an auto.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

It's possible to turn off stop/start but you have to do it for every journey you can't turn it off permanently.

Is it me or does the stop start not cut in if you press the brake very gently, as mentioned above, but quite difficult to do this consistently unless you're pointing uphill?

Yes you are right and I find it very easy to do in fact I find it harder to get stop start to cut in rather than the other way roundMY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Stop start if fine once you get used to it. My first two FL2's had it and my 3rd (an auto) didn't. I missed it when I no longer had it and would have done it manually, but for the fact that re-starting using the push button is such a hit and miss affair.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Maybe the sensitivity is a bit variable between D4s, mine stops most of the time..
Anyway no big deal as car is awesome, just a very minor niggle.

Works as it should on mine. Useful feature if sitting stationary for long periods of time.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
