Great
Just nudged a kerb and taken a small chunk out of nearside rear - small nick taken out - no threads showing - 20" Pirellii Zero - reckon will be OK?
Thanks

Adam sounds like it should be ok, I'm always weary of side wall damage, although I'd say take it somewhere for an honest opinion I dare say you will be met with you need a new tyre, I'd just keep an eye on it and see if you notice loss of pressure etc.

Any chance of a pic? No doubt one of the tyre experts on here could give an informed opinion of what your options might be.
Personally I don't like to run with any tyre damage, a blowout at 55mph in a much lighter car scared me enough to not want one at any speed certainly in a Disco!

Safety first, take it in and get it looked at as there are no clairvoyant tyre fitters I know of.

I'm certainly no expert but I think that's probably fit only for the bin.

I would be worried about any underlying damage and would have it looked at to make sure there is no distortion or damage to the base case construction. What loads were put in to do the damage and will it stand up to forces generated at 112mph?

£160 to replace the tyre, or high speed blow out and insurance write off?
