clicking sound help / ideas
d3 had developed very pronounced metallic click from the front but mainly occurring on turning left
Lover steering column replaced a year or two ago, lower arms last summer along with both front hubs
any ideas what else might be clicking there especially on turning left no matter whether going forward or in reverse?

Sounds like the above but just assure me you have greased the end stops just to rule them out and checked the brake dust shield?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

greasing was the first thing i have done excessively lol
got to put the winch bumper on so might as well strip the thing completely and do it all in one go

been checking and looking and found nothing
been to the garage and they been checking and looking even riding hangin off the front arms under the moving car to figure out the knock
still very prominent clunk on close to full left swing
they found loose bolt holding transfer case but I do not see how is that related to knock only happening on turning left
any ideas what around the transfer can make loud click on left turn?

yet again I am victorious over all the techs from one or two garages
no more clicking happy days
and yet again it was caused by people working on my vehicle with no due care and attn.
I might be loking for the job at JLR

Metallic click when turning left
I've got the same issue on my manual D3 - prominent metallic 'click' when turning left, appears to be getting worse. I've jacked the vehicle up however it doesn't appear to do it when not under load.
It's just had the cam belt done so could this be another case of over tightened bolts?

Sounds like something catching whilst on the turn however no sign of anything and not doing it without load! SO annoying!
Going in to be looked at on Monday so will update then.
