Air con not as cold as last year, might have a leak or just need regasing, can anyone recommended a air con specialist in Bromley/Kent area.
Cheers Thumbs Up

I used a mobile specialist, Tom Featherstone, not sure if he covers that area. Excellent service, most places just do a top up, he drains and refills the system.

£60, would have been £55 but with the rear aircon we agreed a little extra for the additional gas over the norm. I have had it done by other places that charge by the weight of gas they put in, which is cheaper, but i have noticed a huge difference having had the system drained pressure tested and filled from fresh.

I've used those bargain national chain deals and they don't do a good a job and as a dedicated aircon specialist.

Had chap come to the house, pressure tested first then sucked out the old gas and oil then refilled with fresh. I had 2 done at the same time and got a deal. Sure it was about £90 for the 2.

Kwikfit

I am not normally a Kwikfit fan but credit where credit is due.

My D3 is coming up to nine years old (I have owned it for five of them) and I thought it might be a good idea to have the aircon re-gassed. The technician took it into the workshop and very soon came back to me and said "we are not taking your money, it's performing very well and it would be a waste of gas to re-gas it." He didn't tried to sell me anything else, even when I asked him if he could check out my suspension bushes as I was getting a slight clunk from the rear when going over bumps. A good twenty minute inspection up on the ramp highlighted a suspect lower wishbone bushes but again no pressure from the Kwikfit technician to replace it.
