| Fitting daylight running lights |

I have just purchased a set of Ring Dual Function Day-Night running lights for my Disco 3. It has a night function which dims them when the lights are swithed on. This entails one wire to positive on the battery, one to negative on the battery and a third to the live wire of the side light.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to access the side light wire without having totake the headlight unit out of the car. There are a number of wires at the top of the headlamp units but I don't know if any are for the side light and if so which one.
