Discovery Sport deposit paid
Popped in to the dealers today to discuss extended warranties etc (£930) and came out having put a deposit down on a Discovery Sport, I've thought about for a while, the replacement for our cars will be out my budget, the LRDSs lower running costs and a fresh warranty for 3 years swayed the deal.
Should take delivery in March on a 15 reg, I'm currently 10 in my dealers que, they reckon they will get 14 build slots for launch.
Am I alone here, anyone else.
Sorry mods I've posted in wrong place 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

How much information is available from Land Rover on the new Discovery Sport? I've only seen what's been posted in the press and on here.
Am I right in thinking that your deposit secures a build slot and that you then choose the model and spec. etc. when the details have been released to the dealers?2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I'm paying for my place in the que, once the specs are available I then spec it up.
The dealers don't have much info, whether they are holding info back or not I don't know. My salesmans pretty good he knows I'm a LR geek so I sometimes get a sneeky peek at info if they have it.
I will post any info I can get
Perhaps a new forum/section may pop up 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Yes Fl2 replacement, will be bigger than the Fl2 but smaller than our Discos, available from launch with the 5+2 seating.

It doesn't need door handles it's got gesture-controlled doors
LR Press Release wrote:
Housing Land Rover's most cutting-edge technology innovations, the new Discovery quite strikingly doesn't feature any door handles. Instead, gesture-controlled sensors operate the doors, allowing for smooth lines across the car's body. The tailgate too is gesture controlled.
