Preventing steering wheel from rising and seat dropping

Can someone perhaps help me understand why my seat drops and the steering wheel rises when I turn the ignition off on my '09 Discovery 3.

I have had the car for 6 months and it never used to do this. Suddenly it has started.
Is there anyway to stop it or at least turn a setting on/off?

Thanks

On the left side of your steering column, there is a knob. If you have turned it to auto, it enables the function, so turn it back and all will be back to normal.
