D4 FBH remote kit installed in D3 ?
As you know, there was a kit (discontinued now) for remote start of the D3 FBH, part no.VTU500010. Basically, it was the same as the old Webasto Telestart T90. Now, for the D4 Land Rover offers the parts on the picture below, which is basically equal to Webasto telestart T91. The key difference between the original Webasto receiver and the LR branded receiver is that theLR one contains LR codes allowing to communicate via the CANBUS with the air-con system and it's able to run the cabin fans. And since LR does not releasing these codes to Webasto after D2 - that's why you can't find any more aftermarket remote FBH solution from Webasto for D3 and D4.
The price of all parts, shown on the picture below is app. 330 EUR incl. of VAT, at lest here. Not so much, anyway.
So, what do we have here:
(1) The FBH on D3 and D4 are the same. which means that the D4 receiver will run the D3 FBH.
(2) As far as I know, the D3 is pre-wired (next to the Blueetooth module, in the boot) for installing the receiver, so you just need to plug it.
(3) The remote control is programmed by the receiver, so, it's the same.
So, for sure when you plug the receiver in the boot and program the remote control - it will start the FBH. The only question left is if the D4 receiver module will be able to operate the D3 fans. I personally don't believe that the air-con hardware is different. Or if so - that LR changed the management codes.
So, what do you think guys? Does somebody tried this?

I found an older Wiring Plan for the Discovery 3 and it shows the remote control receiver with the antenna using the amplifier antenna like on the D4. But on my 2006 Discovery 3 I could not found any prewiring.
The Land Rover branded Webasto Receiver (actually there is no Land Rover logo on the receiver) is only connected to the car by W-Bus. There is no Can-Bus-Connection. However, the FBH sends the commands received via W-Bus over the Can-Bus to the HEVAC. And the HEVAC send opens the flaps, starts the vent and the FBH. Even on a D3 as long as the HEVAC is not in sleep mode.
And even better, if you use a standard Webasto T91 you can select between heating and venting only.

there was a remote FBH kit for D3. Part no.VTU500010. It was an analogue to old Webasto telestart T90. If it's possible to get some technical bulletin regarding the installation, wiring, etc. probably will be possible to know how to wake up the HAVAC system. The parts are more or less the same as on the D4, which lead me to the point that the D3 is even pre-wired for this kit.

If its prewired, than at a different position. If I have time I will remove the roof trim to search for the cable. Newer D3 do not have the W-Bus-Wire from the Webasto FBH.

T'was available on my Feb 05 car and disabled in late 2006 with the LR 'Enhancement Package'. The FBH timer worked, but only if the car was already awake. The only practical away to achieve this was to open the door and turn the radio on.
It really narked me at the time that they disabled the feature rather than fixing it.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Hi there i have a little push to this thread.
I have a 2007 D3 and i played a bit around, so it seems since i fitted the Webasto Timer 1533 the Hevac wakes up, you can hear it open the flaps and the Vent is running.
The only explanation that i have is that i fitted a Blaupunkt Bremen MP 78 instead of the original LR Radio in my D3 so it dont have a "Watch".
