Yet Another Roof Rack Question...
So I've been looking into getting a roof rack, & I think I've settled on a Front Runner.
When looking online, I can see two different racks... A small price difference, & noticeable appearance differences! (Mainly the way they'd fit the vehicle!)
I have an 07 HSE with the glass roof & antenna at the back, I want to be sure that the rack will fit! They don't seem to mention any differences between the racks in the descriptions!

I believe I have the upper one installed on my car, if so it is module based, ie it comes flat packed (cheap postage). I also have the glass roof and antenna, the sliding roof goes all the way without interfering with the rack. The rack is super sturdy, some wind noise but that you get with any rack. I recommend buying some straps and tie ring from Front Runner, to fit in the T-slot , nice quality and works very well.

Well, I am from the US, so we have a different Front Runner distributor here, but when I inquired about the difference between these two racks a few months ago, I was told that they are the exact same rack, just different mounting feet. The lower rack is a newer mounting system (though not necessarily "better"). According to Front Runner, the rack is the same height off of the top of the car with both sets of mounting feet. So... it's probably personal preference more than anything. I can't quite remember now, but I believe the upper picture you show requires that the Disco have the roof rails installed. I'm not sure if that is true for the lower picture.

Thanks for the replies.... My D3 has roof rails on, and it would make since that the upper picture would fit into them. I guess I was more concerned about the glass roof and antenna.... I think one of the pro speed racks have to be bought depending on what roof you have!07 Land Rover Discovery III HSE

yes it will fit
I assume the 07 HSE has the larger antennae. I had an 06HSE and it fits fine.
you will need to remove the LR roof rails and replace them with the FR roof rails. easy to do - just thre screws to remove. the front fit fit into the holes in the roof by removing the plastic plugs

The thing that I really like about this rack is that if you decide you just want a 1/2 rack in the future (i.e. you don't want it covering up the sunroof), then you can simply buy the shorter side rails, reuse the end rails and slats and assemble the shorter 1/2 rack for a very reasonable cost. It's all very modular.
