"04" Discoveries
Hello all. I'm a Discovery 3 wannabe. I have been for a long time but never got round to acting on it. That's changing now... I'm a dyed in the wool Land Rover addict with a 2003 Defender, a street legal 1957 107" Station Wagon, a 1971 Range Rover wreck/ project and a 1949 80" project.
I've got a couple or few questions.
I tend to like the early versions of what comes out - I'm a bit mad like that... I've been looking at eBay and missed out (not that I'm ready just yet) on an "04" registered HSE. Pretty much exactly what I would have liked to find
So, would that have been a rare thing? Would most 2004 Discoveries be on a "54" registration?
Does anyone know of any "04" registered Discovery HSEs for sale?
Cheers, Tony

04 plates were Land Rover Press Demo cars - not generally sold to the public until 54 plate. Not sure if some were 'non-standard' in terms of kit and bits as some I think were pre-production models.
Someone who knows more will be along soon.

Wondered if that was the one Clarkson took up the mountain in Scotland but thinking about it that was probably a 54.Displaced Yorkshireman.

I watched the videos a while back. They were both BX04 but the registrations weren't recognised by the DVLA query thing. Would be a laugh to find one of those. A real film star

The reason it has 3 keys is to keep one as as spare, the story goes thet Clarkson left the car at the top of the mountain and jumped into a helicopter taking the keys with him and the car stranded the muppet.Displaced Yorkshireman.
