Read a lot on hear about seat swap from base model to leather electric and to be honest most of it is crap 5 sec burst blar blar blar this,,, that,,, and over complicated stories and pub talk so if you want plain simple instructions here it is go to land rover order 1X LR044126 and 1x YML500831 rip out all the crap under drivers seat plug loom YML500831 you may need to cut off some plugs and hard wire as some will not fit across rip out drivers control with memory and replace with LR044726 plug in to loom then run 12v from cig socket down to drivers seat plug and play simples ALL THIS DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY WHAT SO EVER FOR DAMAGE

Have to say, they doesn't sound like the best instructions.

With those clear and concise instructions I assume you work for IKEA.

Yea well done crazy, you may well have a fix of course. Berating others efforts, whether they match your exacting "rip out" approach or not is not generally the done thing though.

Oh and by the way, the switch you quote - LR044726, does not move the front angle for the seat (the 4th motor) as that switch is a six way similar to older passenger seats and not 8 way, but at least this job that you profess to be so good and simple is 75% complete. Thanks for sharing the progress so far. Good luck with finishing the rest of the job one day Thumbs Up

IKEA instructions are walk in the park compared to them Laughing

I ain't a mechanic, so have no idea what the OP is talking about, the over complicated pub stories are of more use to us mechanically inept members, especially those with pictures.
