What have you spent recently?

So, just sat here updating a few costs and realised that in the 6 months of ownership I have spent a total of £4776 on the Disco (excluding fuel) Shocked

OK, so just shy of £1800 was choice - as in new wheels, D4 lights, grille etc

But £2992 spent on no choice but to spend items.....such as Suspension, brakes, tyres, propshaft, battery, wheel bearing, EGR's Shocked (Potential EPB spend soon as well Smile

It's a good thing that like her Big Cry

Interesting to see what you other chaps have spent Thumbs Up

I must of been lucky then. 6 yrs of owership and I reckon apart from servicing which has to be done, I fitted some nice bits so my choice. But actual bits broken that needed changing were

front disks, once
front pads twice
rear pads and disks once
Steering rack, under LR warranty
Rear lower tailgate latch WD warranty
Steering column WD warranty

I think thats it, not overly abused during my ownership, 2 trips to Morocco and a couple to Croatia and back. Sold it last week with 62K on the clock. Just in time before the belts service Thumbs Up . The dealer now has that issue and I reckon he won't bother with the oil pump when hes doing it. So I hope the new owner is aware of what they are getting in to.

United Kingdom 2009 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Stornoway GreyDiscovery 3

In past 12 months:

    2 services
    2 front wheel bearings
    front and rear suspension arms
    rear brake pipes
    new 6-speed auto gearbox
    front arb bushes and droplinks

Cost to me - less than £840 (2 services plus insurance for courtesy car)

Thankfully the LR Approved warranty paid for the majority of the list, else the bill would have been closer to £8k Shocked

Edit - forgot: two sets of parking sensors and one loom, again under warranty
