Infrared Thermometer
I had been looking at these for a while, had nearly bought a Sealey VS907 approx £75 online.
Turns out this item number – eBay Item No. 290971705765 is exactly the same one except it's yellow and not red for princely sum of £18.15 delivered. There are other UK sellers and some from China but that is where mine came from and arrived in 2 days.Just need a 9V PP3
Measures up to 700C, has a back light and a laser guide spot, both of which can be turned off. It has modes that can be used to record highest, lowest, difference and average readings. Can also be set to alarm at a High/Low temp.
Great for checking brakes,engine,radiator,tyres etc.
You would be amazed how many things need checking in the house too....wood burner, radiators, children, cup of tea, sausages in frying pan
My wife is fed up hearing it beep now

I love the way the eBay ad shows it being used to take a child's temperature then the tech spec says it's accurate to +/- 1.5C

I bought one about 18 months ago, it was invaluable when i was doing the tiptronic box on my porsche boxster...
I also used it on a heating scheme we were doing to check the flow and return temps on the pipework
Good piece of kit for the price,If it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

The wife has a tiny IR thermometer for checking the temp of the oven and other such domestic duties. She bought it after I got fed up with her borrowing my Fluke IR.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

I bought one of these, it arrived yesterday - very impressed for the pirce.
I can happly report that my wife's is 32 degC. She is unaware of this, and more importantly, unaware that I am aware of this.

Ordered and arrived very quickly, seems to work well, I'm also impressed for the money , though I have to say my wife was decidedly frosty when I used it on her and my son told her what I was doing

I'm even happier to report that your wife is a lot warmer when she is with me.
Happy to swap notes, hints and tips.
