Extreme uneven break pad wear !!!
Stripped rear breaks to replace discs and pads , 3 pads have 5 to 6 mm and one on the drivers side is down on the metal any idea why this has happened stew.-------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

Sticking caliper/sliders pins, more than likely the slider pins seized if one pad.

As above Stew, give it all a good clean and put back together, then keep an eye on it for heat on that wheel for a month or so, given the age and miles it might be a caliper, there not mega bucks, so for a man of you means

One thing to watch out for is bent guide pins, if someone has previously removed the caliper carrier dropped it.
They will still slide ok when you pull them in and out but when the caliper retaining bolts are tightened they go tight, the best way to test for this is to bolt the caliper pack on without pads and check it slides freely.

Stew, check to see if the pad can 'slide' in the carrier. Mine was binding, it was corrosion on the carrier

Seen this many times
