Cooper Zeon LTZ
Well, it has been a long time sice I have posted, thought this spot would be appropriate. I just got back to the states after a long 3.5 years in Japan, and I had my car serviced. OE tires were still on with 32000 miles and cupping real bad. Luckily for me, I was able to find a shop that could get me some Cooper LTZ's in 255/55/19. I looked everywhere for the Goodyear MTR's to no avail in this size. Will post a follow up on the ride of these new tires. Thanks for reading. Pics will follow as soon as I can get them uploaded."Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others."

So far, the tires are pretty good. only put about 250miles on them. The road noise is less than I expected, and I haven't noticed to much difference in the way of MPG's. Still working on pics to upload. I really do like the aggressive look of the tire.
We have our second named storm of the season (hurricane season struts next friday)heading our way right now, so I will find out soon enough how well they are on wet roads."Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others."

It has been a year, and the tires are performing great. The road noise has been minimal IMHO and I have not had a decrease in MPG. The most I have achieved is 20.1mpg at the end of a full tank, about 375miles. I have put about 15k miles on them since the first post."Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others."

Did you find they were noisier when brand new, but once worn in, less so?

Not really. I think they were pretty quiet when they were brand new. Overall, very good tire "Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others."

Contemplating these myself Trav, are you finding they are lasting well? I note at your last post you had done 15k miles and I wondered how many mm you have left on them and how well they are wearing. I know a set of grabbers will do almost twice that on my car, but a set of scorpions would be dead by now!D3 TDV6 HSE 2008 Buckingham Blue (current)
