Hi all,
I am about to replace the compressor and terrain responce switches console in my 2008 model Disco 3 v8.
Will I have to disconnect the battery before removal?
Will programming be needed after replacement?
All inputs will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Buks.

Disconnecting the battery may not be necessary but definitely make sure the car has at least gone to sleep before unplugging anything!
As for software, the switches should't need anything doing, the compressor if its a new AMK version and not an Hitachi should have a new software applied.

After fitting the TR switchpack, it should be updated with the latest software, as it is the ATC (All Terrain) module
And the RLM should be updated if the compressor is not replaced like-for-like

Thank you Gentlemen,
For how long must the car be "sleeping" before I can start the the replacement?
Will I be able to drive the car to where the the updates are to be done.
From the write up on the forum I am comfortable that I will be able replace the compressor myself but would like to know if after replacement the system will still be working.
The current compressor is rather noisy and runs for a fairly long time before it stops.
Thanks,
Buks

Let the car sleep 120sec. then you are good to go.
Just replace the compressor, you do not need to install new software right away, its adviced to do so as soon as possible and you must replace the compressor relay in the engine bay after you have installed the compressor.
The all terrain is easy enough to swap.. but the wires on the green connector that goes to the all terrain is rather short.

Hi all,
Trust every one is in good state of health and happily Land Roving.
One small question on compressor replacement.
The short piece of metal pipe included in the kit has me wondering - in which pipe does it go?
Have fun,
Buks.
