Also how long do you think a round job would be for the water pump and rear belt please?
Few hours or days? Disco 3 SE Manual 2005 V6 2.7

About 1 day for the water pump should be plenty. (You know how to do most of it)
I’m not sure you have the temperament to do the rear belt
It’s a right fiddle. Maybe, don’t fix What isn’t broken applies. I knelt on the bumper with grill removed. Dunno if the winch is in the way now.
Again 1 day is possible.

😂😂😂 you know me well. Suppose it’s not so bad once the initial lesson has been learned.
Don’t suppose you know of a straight forward video showing what I’m potentially in for?
May buy the part and keep spare until the day it does actually break Disco 3 SE Manual 2005 V6 2.7

I would do them seperatley as you dont need to remove the same parts when doing both jobs.
I would also recommend replacing the coolant resiviour when you do the pump as you will have the coolant drained down anway.
I would say you could do the water pump in under a hour, you already know how to remove the fan and aux belt its then only three bolts to get the pump out. The resivour will take you half an hour to get out.
Then you will need to bleed the air out of the coolant Andrew

Wish I'd seen this thread earlier. Firstly, great job but FWIW CMB, you're only just down the road from me, I could have loaned you some of the tools, so if you're stuck in the future don't be scared to ask, Buckley is only about 15mins down the road.

I found the pump belt very straight forward, I used Disco Mikey’s write up the only thing I did different was I couldn’t manage to fit the belt and tensioner at the same time as Disco says, I fitted the tensioner loosely then put the belt over the two pulleys and it slipped easily over the tensioner tightened the tensioner and pulled the pin.
Trickiest thing is getting the belt cover off and back on🤔 Steve

Hi all
Looking at the parts on eBay for water pump and rear belt...
Pump is about £30 right?
Can anyone recommend a link to legit kit please?
