Got silver fully painted D3 and I'm in the process of search of black tubes (going offroading included). Black tubes are more than 8) .

Funnily enough, play days are ok with steps, as you can choose where you go. If you start green laning the steps then become a real problem as you are stuck on a route.
I've now got steps refitted for a pregnant SWMBO. I think they look 8). but they'll be coming off again for off roading. Disco 5 HSE Lux

Thinking of Sidesteps
OR
Black Protection Tubes
OR
Chrome Protection Tubes
Going onto to my silver D3. I think the Sidesteps unless you have 20's fitted like Ronp's look like wings anyone got a pic of D3 with Silver/ Black protection tubes?
Thanks
Googsy
Are you glad you got the steps Googsy as i am having the same problem deciding which to get, do they look okay or do you think they still look like wings....cheers

Guys, ask Stumpy what he thinks of Side Steps and off-roading after this weekend LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

No not at all but we had to be careful. and he was not allowed to go certain places In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Stumpy and his side steps drove most places many other 4x4's would have got stuck in.

I should have been clearer in the first post. My point being that Stumpy was considering taking them off part way through the day and I'm not sure, but I think he may have changed his mind. At the end of the day, as we discussed, whether side steps of tubes, they still tend to bend upwards as they're not designed to "rock slide" and take the weight of the vehicle.
Personally, I'd rather not widen my vehicle by adding either of these items; but I am awaiting Uncle Ray's heavy duty sills early next year - these look the same as the original equipment, but provide a little extra strength when the ground gets too close. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Yes including me, but that was probably 85% down to driver error LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
