RLD bash plate on MY14

Will the Uncle Ray D4 bash plate fit on the new MY D4? I can't tell by looking at pics, if the MY 14 has any changes to it preventing the RLD plate being fitted.

Ray, isn't aware of any changes, but i need to be sure.

TLO, will know, as the part numbers will be different. But I'm sure someone here knows. Thumbs Up

Just spoken to Nick (TLO). It is a different shape.

So my RLD D4 plate will not fit on a MY14 D4 Sad

I have a MY2014 on order and was thinking about exactly the same thing, so I had a crawl about on the floor at the dealers the other day and it does look different but I would like to try and offer it up to see why it wont fit. It has the 2 spats on as my MY2014 has which I know have to be taken off but I would like to see it with the tow point cover off to see what's what Thumbs Up Unfortuntaley my new one wont be here until September so there will be a bit of a wait to find out Laughing
 Cheers Ian

Wasn't planning on it, but speaking to my LR dealer it makes sense. They want my 2010 D4 to sell and it's lost surprisingly little in the 14 months and 22k miles that I've had it. It's now on 38k miles and I reckon they'll sell it for £33-35k. I bought it from them for £37k.

Man maths stacks up, as I can get into a new HSE for just a small extra monthly cost. Gone are the days when I could afford to go out and buy a new HSE for cash as I did in 2006 Big Cry

It will save buying a LR Approved Warranty for the next 3 years (£3k+), a service that's due now which is £550 +. VED is £275 instead of £475, so that's another £200pa saving.

They have a new unregistered HSE on site, so I'll get it in a week or so. Just too busy at the moment.

Dan:
There's a part number for sump guards for Disco 4's and a seperate number for MY14 Disco 4's. So whilst it's not 100% certain, it's highly likely that the MY14 plate is slightly different.

Mantec would be able to confirm this, as they make them for LR. But they go home early on Fri. and their website is basic to say the least.
