New suspension compressor running just as long as the old |
|
I recently had the suspension compressor replaced after getting the "Slow to raise" error and the yellow light on the dash, plus it would run for a while on a cold start. With the new compressor, it seems to run for a full 2 mins on a cold start, shuts off for about 30 seconds, then runs for another 30 seconds. This is about the same as the old dying compressor. On a hot start, or if it's been sitting for a few hours, it'll run for 10-20 seconds if at all.
Not getting any error codes but don't want to burn out a brand new compressor. Is this normal? Could it indicate a leak in the reservoir tank or elsewhere? I sprayed soapy water all over it but couldn't see any bubbles. I have an IID tool if there's a good live value to check for leaks.

Took off the compressor cover and sprayed soapy water. Looks like I have a minor leak from the blue connection on the compressor (line to the valve block I believe). I pulled it off and inspected the line and it looks fine. Put it back in firmly and still leaking.
Any creative ideas on how to fix a leak here? Replace the line the only option?
