metallic grinding and rattling noise' MY 2013 D4
just developed a strange metallic grinding noise in the front off side wheel area. The sound is quite tinny and screechy. Conistent noise when turning in one direction but not the other; and sometimes when going straight but this is intermittent. Any clues?

Try going forward then reverse if its lodges stones that usually clears it. It did mine

thanks for this. I tried reversing after going forwards, and at some speed [scared the hell out of SWMBO ] but no success. taking into dealer on monday to check it out.

thanks for your advice, which was spot on re stones. The dealer had to have two goes on the ramp before finally removing the culprit - a small stone, smaller than smallest finger nail. amazing something so small can make such a racket
