Hmmm ... looks like my EGR blanks will have to stay out until September this year then Neutral

Presumably it would be the same if you extended LRA cover.....

LRA have a contract with Enterprise, they do out of hours as well. Mine was sorted late at night. I got a Meriva late at night then insisted I wanted and equivalent car to the D3. They supplied a FFR the following day. When the clutch went three weeks later (Barretts Ashford!!!!!) again LRA sorted thing out and supplied a brand new D3. Do not let them fob you off and make you go and pick up the loan car, the contract is to deliver it to you and collect it from you. Thumbs Up

Didn't someone on here call out a LRA tech recently who had made his own blanking plates to fit when an EGR had failed? So does that mean once the vehicle had been recovered to a dealer they wouldn't touch it because the LR tech had fitted 1 or 2 plates at the roadside? Mine's not in warranty any more, but LRA would have had to prove to me that the blanks had contributed to any failure before they even tried to deny me warranty recovery and repair Evil or Very Mad

All Clive, the LRA man said is its something they are now enforced to check, ANY LRA call out if it requires the engine cover to come off gets the EGR inspection. I guess its their get out clause. Further to the LRA techy fitting a 2p to blank an EGR, he would have logged that on his PC, and informed he did so as a get you home/garage measure.

It would be nice to get the D3 from Hire company, or a FFRR, but to be honest anything will do as long as I am mobile enough. However I read through the LRA handbook, it says they supply a car only for a maximum of 2 days Question I would think mine will be there a while as NO turbo's are available I am led to beleive.

Whilst in I have compiled my warrenty list to be sorted, bits I was waiting till its service just before its no quibble 12 month warranty run out

1. O/S Xenon flicker when on Auto Lights
2. Windscreen Problem noted on PDI
3. Cruise control cancelling out when buttons are held
4 O/S door moulding needing to be reglued

That will keep them busy Whistle

Cruise control will cancel and log as a fault if the buttons are held for >3 seconds, it does this as it assumes the button is jammed
basically a PICNIC fault

LRA only pay for the first 2 days of car hire, after that the LR dealer pays for the car hire and they also arrange the extension of the car hire for you until you get your D3 back

Cheers TFC, does that mean also to re-use the cancelled cruise I have to switch off n restart, or is it still faulty.

I think as the car is concerned contact the dealer tomorrow just to be on the safe side

Big Cry So the forlorn sight of my D3 on a low loader happened this morning at 8:30am, and now is en-route to dealership @ Ashford. Alredy spoken to Barretts LR and are expecting the crippled D3. In asking me what was found and after explanation, and me being concerned of Turbo supply probs, I was informed that as mine is on Extended warrenty it takes more priority over those that simply need a turbo as a paying customer.

I am yet to be convinced on this Whistle but given the list of faults I have given them it may be there a little longer than they think anyway Whistle

Cannot fault the service from LRA, as promised the car collected on time, Enterprise called me 15mins later to arrange delivery of a 2Ltr Saloon Big Cry , said it would be with me by 11am, but put it off till 1pm.

But a 2ltr saloon Question , I questioned it, but its all they have for 48hrs so they say. I dont mind but it will definately be replaced for a LR or RR if mine is away for a while Whistle
