| Intermittent Loss of Gear Indication D3 Manual Solved |

Just posting this to help any members that might have the same problem as I had.
For years suffered with loosing the gear position indication on a totally random basis - so Auto brake release, cruise c., reversing lights, parking sensors, all stopped working. New gearbox switch, transfer case ECU, updated software, completed over a period of time. Worked for so long each time and then started failing again. Noticed on the last failure that gear indication failed on depressing the clutch and on reading main dealer worksheet, after the last time they had a go which only lasted 100miles, that all they did was told the vehicle it had a new clutch switch (which it didn't have) recalibrated the clutch switch, updated the transfer case software and calibrated the gearbox switch.
So I fitted a new clutch position sensor and bingo indication back in all clutch pedal positions. Calibrated the gearbox switch in the tried and tested method of going through the gears Rev to 6th in low box
