Are you taking out the carpets and checking for any rust under them?

yes I did. It was quite good - also when the body was off we did complete rust protection for the body and ladder-frame as well.

Ho !!!
As one who for many years spent most of my waking hours in my car (and a good few overnights too !!), I can really appreciate the very pleasing outcome of your work here.
Such a shame I only had my first Disco towards the end of my years on the roads, I felt the improved comfort and reduced stress immediately.
Maybe yours will become one of the best D3s to make it to a "Classic Car" - Happy Travels Smile))
P.S. - I meant to say, having tackled all these tasks one of the unwritten benefits is that you now know EXACTLY where EVERYTHING is located for the future Smile)))

it is a complete refurbishment - started with the engine bay and all other all technical important components through to complete interior and exterior (this will come soon)

Excellent job to date. Bow down

Just wondering if you had contemplated blackening the headlining, visors and pillar trim ?
Something I would love to do with my D4.

well, wanted to keep everything as original.

sunvisors are new because of the stickers on it, headliner, A, B, and C pillars went through on the same treatment - completely refurbished with the same material.

so for those you can buy the "covering material" as you want - colour/ quality wise, but then you have to colour code the plastic parts as well.
