Installation tools front crankshaft oil seal wanted

Hi,

Does anyone have these for sale, please. I've been trying to fit the seal without specials tools but after two times I'm giving up. Each time the seal stays in for 20K km's and then it starts to leak... If anyone could help me out with a spare set?

Regards,

Geert

There is one company that when you buy their seal they give you a tool to put the seal in with. Cannot think of the company's name but I'm sure someone will. There are some links on this site as well.

Buy the Victor R one for the insertion tool but buy a genuine one to fit on the vehicle.
Its also possible that the old seal has worn a groove in the crank and is not getting a good enough seal. if you have the later pump from the 3.0 ltr you can push the seal back futher into the pump so that it makes contact on a good part of tge crank. You cannot insert it to far as there is a stop built in to the pump.

Its also very important that the seal goes in square when fitted, i made myself a fitting tool a basic tube 48mm external with a 36mm internal hole and i can then use the crank bolt to insert the seal squarely.

Did you fit the OEM Oil pump as the cheap Chinese ones do spit out the oil seal.

Flack Thumbs Up
