The rear belt cover comes of in one piece, it's already off to check the belt. I don't know about the engine type I just know it's an 05' 2.7 TDV6 if that's any good!

No, but its nice and easy.
HPFP belt off
Little M6 bolt (8mm head) holding the plastic cover to the pump
Fuel pipes off (plastic and metal)
Oil filter out
Breather canister thing comes out. Just!
4x M8 (10mm head) bolts holding the pump onto the engineMy D3 Build Thread

Went ahead and tackled the job with out a Haynes and must say it is in fact a piece of p**s. So pump out on the bench and thought I'd have a bit of a root.
The culprit, 3 of these snapped one behind each of the square blocks located on the pump body.
So next question, has anybody got any spring or know where I could get them! It seems relatively easy to replace the seals and springs and refit so I think I'm gonna go ahead and do just that.

Ok don't know if anyone can help, fuel pump repaired all put back together and re fuelled, primed the system and now I've got fuel pressure to all the common rails and I've cracked off all the injectors one by one to check for fuel which I have. But the car won't start, if I spray easy start in to the Intake the car fires up but won't run without I'm thinking I have a problem with the injectors not firing but I've been told that theyre controlled by the ecu, I assume I'd get a fault code of some sort of the ecu was knackered so is there anyway of testing the injectors? I've tried using a little home made gizmo with a bulb and two wires thinking that it should flash as the injector is fired but the bulb is doin nothin leading me to believe that whatever controls the injectors in the problem?

Perhaps go back to basics to see what may have been missed - crank RPM signal to ECU, ECU to HP & valves, ECU to injectors etc?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Would these not throw up a fault code? There's literally only 2 codes which both relate to egr valves, I'm sort of checking the basics at the moment, how would I go about checking the pulse from the ecu?
Have you tried a fuel lift pump procedure to see if that works, my other thoughts are with the ecu, I had a similar problem on a D3, everything checked out but would not start, it turned out to be water ingress above the ecu, this had shorted out components on the mainboard that controlled the injectors.
Take the three plugs off the ecu and check for water especially the one nearest to the engine. Check each injector circuit for voltage, I had two that where lower than the rest.

I've removed the ecu and checked the plugs, no signs of any water ingress but I did take the back off and found some signs of staining from what looks like liquid. I spoke to a guy an an ecu repair centre who said he's never heard of problems with disco Ecu's before and as such doesn't repair them but recommended I check for fuel pressure at the raid because if this was down the injectors would not open when they were requested. Now I know there is fuel to the rails but don't know how much pressure is there, could anyone tell me what pressure the injectors need to open and also how I go about checking it! Also if there is pressure could the fuel pressure regulator be faulty.
Cheers

Just a quick check in to see if anybody's got any ideas, been abit busy lately with other jobs to be done but need to get this sorted sooner rather than later so I'm back on it again tomorrow. All the help would be really appreciated. Also if anybody is local around Liverpool and fancies a stab at it, please feel free there will be a reward waiting!

The fuel rail pressure should be checked with a diagnostic tool that has live data. During starting the injectors need at least 150 bar (2,175 psi) for the injectors to open.
