Getting mirrors to fold when locking/ unlocking?

Hi guys,

I have power fold mirrors but they only fold when I press the mirror knob switch down. I want to know if it is possibly to get them to fold in when I lock the car?

I have looked through the settings on the dash but can not see the option.

Thanks in advance Thumbs Up

No such option on a D3.

Wish there was an easy way to stop it folding on a D4.

Sure they hardly fold anyway, there still sticking out a brave bit. Don't see the point in them at all, and nearly every car on the the market that passes a parked D3 there mirrors would be passing below them anyway.

Is it just for effect or purpose?

There is only a way to stop them folding when unlocking. To stop them folding all together the manual reads as if this is possible, but only by the dealer.

From the manual

Quote:
AUTOMATIC FOLDING
The mirrors can be configured by your Dealer/Authorised Repairer to automatically fold when the
vehicle is
locked, and unfold when it is unlocked.
Note: If the mirrors were folded using the switches, they will not unfold when the vehicle
is unlocked.

Spraying the moving surfaces with silicone spray has helped reduce the howls of icy pain when they move when covered in ice, but it would be great to have a user-selectable option. It's not as if cold weather is something new.

No long term fix here as there is no such fuse.
