I used the same mod on my V6 Freelander to make the mirrors auto fold. It's amazing how similar the system is on the LR and Ford. The mod is relatively easy and adds a nice touch to the car.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.
D3 TDV6. Gone.

This is just what I was wondering the other day
Its a shame JLR didn't think that it would be a nice option to have.
Still at least the mirror fold switch is located in a fairly obvious place
It took me 3 months to realise my XC90 had a mirror fold button 1994 Defender 300tdi 110 commercial

joshpmc - I look forward to your 'how to'. Can't see how the mirrors benefit from folding. I see it as one more thing that will soon need fixing. Mine do freeze and this does not please Doris....

What happens if the mirror does not have the fold motor or do all mirrors have it but not connected.

what happens if you set the mirror left right adjust to the middle possition.
and then press adjust down. DO the mirrors fold?
You may need the ignition on.

Okay, tried the fold by putting switch to middle position and then press down - nothing. My D3 is a 2007 SE
