anoble wrote:i fancy giving this a go myself, was it easy enough to wire in? what about installing the switch, was that easy? thanks
Wiring was just a case of plugging in the new switch (held with 4 screws) and plugging in the loom for the fogs behind the drivers headlight. Thankfully LR have pre-wired the rest so it all works straight off, indicator light comes on the dash etc. Couldn't be simpler really. I have removed the front bumper before so knowing the procedure saved a bit of time. 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

Just to remind you that my CC worked as soon as the switch was fitted, didn't need activation although the dash indicator doesn't show when it's on so I still need TFC's box of tricks 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

I agree, pointless omission IMO, must have cost more to make bumpers and switches different at the factory than it would to have fitted them to all models. Great that it was all pre-wired though, it has cost me around £165 for fogs and cruise control if I had ordered them as factory options it would have been £500+.
Wonder what else is pre-wired and just needs the bits? Heated seats maybe? 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

I guess they will fit but you will still need the OEM loom, switch and bezels, don't see the point then really unless a lot cheaper. 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

My Stealer wants $207.00 for each light + $27.00 for each bulb. bling lights $79.00 for the whole kit.

Cost around £130 'ish from Nick at Yeovil
Easy DIY job, just need a steady hand cutting the bumper out ( a Dremel helps), it is pre-marked on the back, pics going into my gallery.
Do you have the part #'s ? Thank You J.T. 2006 SE V6 / 2002 MB G-500
