Door Unlock Malfunction
Hello,
This morning i had a surprising malfunction.
As i used my remote to unlock the doors, i click...driver's door didn't unlock...i click a second time...and the 3 other doors unlocked, but not the drivers door.
Did someone ever had this kind of malfunction ? If yes, how did you sorted that ?

It will probably need sorting but there is some self help - if you can get in the car and press the unlock dash button whilst holding the inside door handle open this can improve things - have a search for Chris Tyler's post on the subject - I had the same happen to me (UK passenger door) last year and after fettling it as suggested its been OK sinceSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Mines being done under warranty but has taken 3 weeks for spares. Agree very annoying, but a bit of a safety issue to.

My D3 had the passanger doorlatch replaced twice, when it failed for a 3rd time the Inverness stealer replaced part of the wiring loom as replacing the latch was not curing the problem. Hasn't failed since, good old MacRae & Dick, Inverness.

HI !
many thanks for your replies.
I first tried to hold the inside door lock open while pushing the unlock door button on the console...this fisx for one time the probem...i had to do that each tim in was getting in the car, as welle as getting out of it.
Suddenly, after one week (day by day) the door is now functionning correctly without doing anything else.
I have an appointment at the stealer on wednesday, i'll tell him that...i think my pb is looking like beeing the same as DSL, and a change of some wiring might help.
