Done the park brake
I removed and stripped the electric park brake... re geared, lubricated rewound. New shoes and springs, pads and two new rear callipers .... I will say the EPB was “challenging”
Swapped the spare wheel from the 20" with Pirelli Scorpion to 19" with Duratrac to match the other ones on the vehicle. Also refitted my HD towbar and new chassis stiffeners, fitted my Rawjack so that I don't have to lift the rear seats to lower the spare.
Also prepared an interior light console with some switches.

Not quite “done” but started late fitting my aux battery and split charger, I’m happy with the “custom” battery clamp I had to make up. Also pre wired an SAE permanent plug I’ll be fitting just behind the grill to the main battery, this will allow plug and play battery charging.

First time in a long time i actually had a spare hour to work on my disco. Decided to get around to fitting some extra lighting in the boot so i can see what im doing in there on a night ( light that is there is hidden by the aftermaket TV infrared )
Wired them into the exsisting light so they work when the doors open, they even dim like the other lights when you lock it . Only cost £10 off amazon but make the world of difference , actually see the whole of my boot now Discovery 3 - Black SE with HSE upgrade

That looks good scubble, which lights are they, you got the link? Good to find some extra internal light that doesn’t mess the electrics about.2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

you can get different colours and such but i went with white light as it matched my other ones , they seam really tough as well, The thread is a little long but there is enough room behind the panel for them
EDIT: forgot to mention the cables are really thin, but i linked like 4 together and twisted/ folded the cable and managed to make it fit into a standard blue bullet connectorDiscovery 3 - Black SE with HSE upgrade

Brill, thanks, just managed to order 2 sets for tomorrow delivery one set for boot, and I’ve wanted to put a light on the inside lower edge of the tailgate so when it’s up it lights the ground for working out of the boot, will connect 2nd set switchable to the aux battery so’s not to overload the light cct.2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

No Problem Not a bad idea with the tailgate idea. Will have to show us when you have done it, would be useful for hitching up trailers in the dark.Discovery 3 - Black SE with HSE upgrade

Will do, I’ve told SWIMBO the tailgate lights will help with unloading shopping trolleys etc in poor light, reality is it will give me light when I’m paint balling or camping, sorting out a awning to attach to the rack2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

Swopped out the regular roof rails for extended ones, ready for carrying longer boats. now just need lockdown to lift and I can go find some water!
Actually, this is a shameless plug for the standard length rails I'm just about to put in the For Sale section

Will be very interested with seeing how you get on with an awning. I had to make something up for the old D2 - with the door swung open it was an open invitation for any rain to soak the inside. Finally made something (a bit Heath-Robinson-ish), but never got to use it in anger and now I have the D3. The D3 seems to have a useable cover to hide under briefly - but I'm yet to try it for real.
